C2 – How we help cats with urinary tract diseases

Feline urinary tract disease – What it is and what to look out for:

Feline urinary tract disease, also known as feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD), is a group of conditions affecting the cat’s bladder and urethra, characterized by difficulty urinating, bloody urine, frequent urination, and urination outside the litter box. It can be caused by factors such as stress, diet, and other health issues, and can lead to life-threatening urinary tract obstruction, especially in male cats, requiring immediate veterinary care.

Common signs and symptoms

Difficulty urinating or painful crying
Frequent, small amounts of urine, or no urination
Blood in the urine (hematuria)
Urinating outside the litter box
Excessive licking of the genitals
Urine with a strong ammonia odor
Causes and risk factors
FLUTD is not a single disease, but a collection of symptoms that have an underlying cause.

Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC): A common, painful inflammation of the bladder that is often related to stress.

Urinary Tract Stones (urolithiasis): Bladder stones that can block the urinary tract. Urethral Plugs: A buildup of inflammatory debris, blood, or other material that blocks the urethra.

Stress: Emotional or environmental stressors, such as a routine or a busy household, can increase the risk.

Diet and Lifestyle: Middle-aged, overweight, and inactive cats, especially those that eat only dry food, are at higher risk.

We partnered with more than 300 professionals, including veterinarians, clinics, pharmacies, and promoted C2, a joint and cartilage strengthening product developed for cats. As a result of this work, and after gathering a lot of experience, we support as many cat’s health as we can.

Our C2 product has been supplemented with several active ingredients, thus provides the opportunity to treat urinary tract problems that occur in a significant number of cases in cats, mainly stress-based, in addition to diet and “urinary” type foods.

This is currently the most complex active ingredient product on the market, which not only helps to reduce the pH value of urine. In order to acidify the urinary tract, the product also contains cranberry and methionine, in addition to vitamin C, the combined effect of which helps to dissolve existing formations (sand, stones) in the urinary tract and prevent their formation. The glucosamine content of the product also contributes to the regeneration of the inner wall of the urinary tract, and L-Theanine aims to reduce stress, which is often mentioned as a trigger.
